Fabio Buitvidas' interest for music started early, at the age of 3, when he was introduced to Elvies Presley, Queen and Coral Fisher, going through Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin until he got to know Iron Maiden in 1982. It didn't take long and his passion for the strong and exciting drum beats made him fall in love for the instrument's musicality.
However it all started in 1982 when Fabio heard Kiss' Do you Love Me. The drum intro then sounded amazing to him and made him hold drumsticks in his hands for the rest of his life. Even though fascinated, he had very little contact with the instrument until 1991 when his father got him his first kit, an Aerosom, and started drumming for a few bands. Before that, he would use a snare, a cymbal and that was it. Every once in a while, he would find himself a big paper box to be his bass drum. The beginning was even humbler. Fabio used cans to build his first "drum kit".
After joining Acid Storm, one of the most important names in the Brazilian Thrash Metal scene, he started developing his technique. He took some music theory lessons but really got familiar with the drums with the years of rehearsals and shows. At that time, there was no Metal glamour due to the Grunge trend but even then Fabio would perform with a strong and vigorous punch.
